Dear Mia, On Your First Day At Your New School.

Dear Mia, On Your First Day At Your New School.

Dear Mia,

For nearly seven and a half years, I have watched you grow into a beautiful and kind young lady. For the past four years, you have attended infant’s school, and my goodness, did you love it. You have embraced school life, your teachers and friends absolutely adore you and I am so proud of your achievements during the first stage of your education. Now the time has come for you to start a new school, middle school, I know your scared, but I promise you, you will be just fine.

It’s a whole new world for you, new surroundings, new uniform, new teachers and maybe even some new friends. You are a worrier, and I know that you want to hold those closest to you near, but please, embrace every friendship and opportunity that comes your way.

Your new school will offer you new experiences and prospects. I know your clever enough to take on every challenge set upon you. Go ahead and knock their socks off with your love of reading and writing. Show them all how creative you can be, let them see the amazing potential you have within you.

We’ve had a wonderful summer together. I have loved savouring every moment with you before this new chapter in your life. When you feel scared or overwhelmed, I want you to think of those times and smile. Mummy is never far away, and she will always be there at the end of the school day. You may be growing up in the blink of an eye, but you will always be my baby girl.

Think of me as your personal cheerleader. I will always support you in everything you do and cheer you on from the sidelines. I’ll always be ready and waiting for a cuddle at the end of the day, and I will love you forever and always.

Be brave, my beautiful girl.

All my love, Mummy x
