My darling Theo,
How are you a half a decade old already? Today is your fifth birthday, five whole years of you, my gorgeous little man.
It’s been a very exciting year for you. You started school and outgrew some of your most severe allergies – your whole world has changed and you’ve dealt with it all with such maturity. Your such a bright little boy, I am immensely proud of the progress you’ve made since school began in September.
You’ve gone through so much in your short life. You have no idea how amazing it is to see you tucking into food that would have made you incredibly poorly a year ago. It hasn’t been easy, but my goodness it has been worth it.
You are so full of mischief, sometimes you drive me crazy, but you are so funny that I can’t stay mad for long. You say the most inappropriate things at the most inappropriate times and have no shame whatsoever, but I wouldn’t have you any other way.
Your experiences have taught you great empathy, and you told me recently that you’d like to be a doctor when you grow up. You’d like to help others, and that makes me so very proud. I hope you follow that dream because you’d make an incredible doctor. No matter what you do in life, you will always be one of my greatest achievements.
Your big sister Mia absolutely adores you, even when you tease her. You’ve learnt a lot from her, and have all of her wonderful qualities with an extra dose of cheeky. I hope you remain as close as you are now, with her guidance and your resilience you’ll go far in life.
Happy fifth birthday sweetheart.
Love you to the moon and back.
