You won’t find many people who haven’t been affected by ‘the big c’ in one way or another, it’s a cruel disease that tears lives apart and holds no punches.
I myself lost my Nanny Phoebe to cancer on the 23rd October 2012. I was just 12 years old and her death broke my heart beyond repair. Even now, just under 12 years later, I think of her daily. Shortly after her death my father was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Thankfully he survived, but it rocked my world beyond belief. Because of this, I’ve always supported cancer charities, particularly Marie Curie, who provide care and support for people living with terminal illness and their families.
There are many ways you can fund-raise for Marie Curie, there are daffodil pins available from most major retailers which you can purchase for a recommended donation of £1, you can also donate via the website https://www.mariecurie.org.uk or you could host a ‘Blooming Great Tea Party’ between 23-25th June 2017.
Bake up some goodies and get together with family and friends. Collect donations and do your bit for such an amazing cause. Free fundraising packs are available here.

And for the little ones, what about my spiced carrot muffins? A recipe that is free from dairy, soya, gluten and wheat but can be adapted to cater for any dietary needs.
