To launch my new recipe series, getting kids in the kitchen, we’re bringing you a quick and easy child friendly recipe that is also dairy, soya, gluten, wheat, egg and nut free!
In an attempt to tackle the fussy eating issue in our household I’m getting the kids more involved in cooking, everything from slicing to flipping will be done by them (with supervision of course), there’s nothing quite like a job well done, especially when those jobs feel super grown up.
For our honey baked chicken you will need…
2 medium chicken breasts.
2 tablespoons of honey.
A drizzle of olive oil.
A pinch of salt and pepper.
Lots of enthusiasm!
Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees, then, heat a little olive oil over a medium heat before adding the honey and stirring to combine.
Once bubbling, add the chicken breasts and cook for two minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through to ensure a good coating of honey. Once golden, remove from the heat and place in an oven proof dish. Cover with foil and place in your preheated oven. Allow to bake for 10-15 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare any accompaniments. We served ours with carrot sticks, broccoli and curly fries!
When ready, remove from the oven, drain away any excess liquid and serve.
