JoJo Siwa is an American dancer, singer, actress, and YouTube personality. She’s adored by young girls all over the world (including my daughter!).
Her larger than life hair bows have fast become a craze amongst her fans. The bright and dazzling designs are like marmite, you either love them or you hate them!
I must admit, I’m not a huge fan, but Mia is obsessed, and I’m a bit of a soft touch…
When the opportunity arose to review a JoJo Siwa Bow Maker I instantly accepted knowing Mia would be over the moon.
As expected… there were squeals of delight when she saw the box!
The JoJo Bow Maker comes with everything you need to make 4 JoJo bows including JoJo charms and stick-on diamontes for added sparkle.
The JoJo bow maker is aimed at children aged 5+, but unfortunately even I struggled to interpret the instructions.
The method involves weaving the ribbon included with the maker around plastic rods before nipping and tucking to create a bow shape.
Sounds simple, doesn’t it?
Unfortunately it isn’t as simple as it sounds.
We persevered with the JoJo bow maker with little success. Eventually we created JoJo bows freehand to save any further frustration for Mia.
In my opinion, the JoJo Bow Maker is better suited to children aged 8+. The product is very complicated for younger children.
If this product is ever reproduced I think the process should be simplified.
That said, the materials provided were gorgeous. Our set included ribbon in a variety of bold colours including teal and pink. The clips are a fantastic size for girls with thicker hair like Mia.
