Happy New Year from Just The Three Of Us.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. It’s been crazy here. The children thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas and got up to all sorts of fun with family and friends.
They went to the pantomime, a local Christmas show and the cinema – and that was before Christmas had truly begun!
They fed reindeer and danced the evening away – Mia even got on stage with a magician, which amazed me considering how shy and sensitive she can be.
I absolutely love Christmas and the magic that surrounds the festive season. I love watching the children’s faces when they see that Santa has been and the excitement as they open their gifts.
This year was all about creating new traditions. I made them both Christmas Eve boxes filled with hot chocolate making kits, activity packs, chocolate coins, a book and matching festive pyjamas. The boxes were a hit and I will definitely be doing them again next year.
I was woken at 7.30am the next morning by two excited children jumping on my bed grasping their stockings – my heart filled with love and joy for them both. There really is no feeling like it.
Once breakfast was served we started the mammoth task of opening gifts. My living room was filled to the brim with presents and I feared we’d be unwrapping all morning. I needn’t have worried though, despite being piled high my children were finished within 20 minutes – and my living room looked like a festive bomb had hit it.
They were incredibly lucky children and got everything they had asked for including –
- Fire HD 8 Tablet with Alexa, 8″ HD Display, 16 GB, Black — with Special Offers
- Zapf Creation Baby Born Interactive Doll
- Imaginext Power Rangers Morphing Megazord
- JoJo Siwa Bow Fashion Headphones with built in Microphone
- Shopkins Shoppies Smoothie Truck Combo Playset
- Disney Cars 203084003S02 “Cars 3 Turbo RC Racer Lightning Mcqueen” Toy
I beamed with pride when they both exclaimed that they were grateful for everything they had been given. Mia told me that she was worried I didn’t have much money left over! What she doesn’t know is that I saved for most of the year and made good use of vouchers and offers in order to give them an unforgettable day.
We enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner at my Mum’s complete with salted caramel cheesecake (amazing!) before heading home again to curl up under a blanket to watch Elf.
It was a fabulous, but exhausting, day.
I can’t wait to do it all again next year.
