They say time flies when you are having fun, and they, whoever ‘they’ are, are so right! Four years ago this week, I published my first ever blog post. Some may think it’s a little bit sad to mark a blog anniversary with an entire blog post, but I am so proud of what I have achieved.
Four years ago, Just The Three Of Us was completely different. First of all, its original name was The Adventures Of An Allergy Mummy. I started blogging to raise awareness and share my experiences of parenting a child with allergies, these days I blog about a much wider variety of topics, including parenting, mental health, and DIY.
When I started blogging, I never imagined it would become my full-time job. I thought it would be a short-lived hobby that nobody would pay attention to, but four years on, the blog receives thousands of visitors each month and has a social media following of over 14,000. I’m not what you’d call a ‘big blogger’, my stats are tiny compared to other established blogs, but
We’ve worked with some amazing brands including Tempur, Big Game Hunters, Domu, and AO. I’ve appeared in media such as Healthy magazine, Daily Express, and Radio Norfolk and visited some wonderful local attractions with the children such as BeWILDerwood and Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure. Thanks to Just The Three Of Us, I’ve been able to give my children experiences I would never have been able to give them on my own and I earn an income, albeit small, which allows me to stress less about money and focus on what matters, family.
I could use my blog anniversary to share my favourite posts or host a celebratory giveaway but instead I want to use it to say just one thing, thank you. Thank you for reading my rambles and for following and supporting us. There are too many of you to thank personally, but I want to tell you all that I am so incredibly grateful for what you have unknowingly helped me to achieve. Every like, every comment, every share, helps me to achieve my blogging dreams and continue to do a job that I absolutely love.
Without your support, I probably would have given up long before my first blog anniversary, so to be here, marking my fourth, feels amazing. Sometimes it feels like I have a small army of cheerleaders cheering me on when I’m feeling rubbish or struggling to juggle everything. The online community is invaluable and I am proud to be a part of it. Here’s to four years of Just The Three Of Us, will we still be here four years from now? I’m not sure, but one thing I do know is that I don’t have a single regret.
Setting up a blog was one of the best things I have ever done.
