The Fun Parts of Pregnancy.

Pregnancy is hard. You’re growing a person. It’s not going to be easy. It’s a tremendous strain on your body, which can be uncomfortable and at times even painful. Your hormones are all over the place, which can lead to mood swings and frustration. You might suffer from unpleasant symptoms like swelling, indigestion, morning sickness, insomnia, fatigue, headaches, and you’ll be at greater risk of certain infections. At times, your pregnancy might be almost unbearable, and it’s certainly unlikely to be fun. 

But, that doesn’t mean that it’s all bad. Nor does it mean that there aren’t fun elements. Some parts of pregnancy are exciting, fun and mood-lifting. Your pregnancy is special. It’s something that only the lucky among us are able to do. At times, when things are tough, it will be hard to remember this, so below are some of the more fun aspects of pregnancy to remind you. 

The Attention

Getting some extra care and attention is brilliant. It’s not something we get very often when we lead busy lives, and when we’re pregnant, we absolutely deserve it. So, enjoy letting other people look after you. Enjoy people asking how you are and offering to do things for you. Make the most of it while you can. 

Choosing a Name

Picking a name for your baby can be great fun. Look at lists of baby names, pay attention to characters in TV shows and books and think back to names that you might have liked in the past. Write a list of names that you like the most and spend some time researching their meanings and variations. 

Being Alone

You don’t fully appreciate being on your own until you’ve had a baby, and experienced never being able to be on your own. So, don’t take it for granted. While you are pregnant, make sure you get plenty of space for yourself. Go get a pregnancy massage at your local spa, take a long bubble bath, go for a walk, or just be on your own. Enjoy the peace. Enjoy getting to think. Even enjoy going to the toilet by yourself. 

Enjoying Your Food

It’s long been proven that you don’t need to eat for two while you are pregnant. In fact, if you are a healthy weight, you might not need to adjust your calorie intake at all. But, nor do you need to spend time worrying about how your skinny jeans will fit in the summer. They won’t. If you normally worry about your weight or obsess over your diet, make the most of not having to. Don’t go crazy, but enjoy eating meals with no guilt or concern. 

How You Look

Most pregnant women don’t think that they glow. Other people might tell them that they are glowing, and they might have heard about other women looking fabulous when they are pregnant, but they don’t think it’s happened to them. However, the chances are that it has. Your skin might glow, your hair and nails might be stronger; you might look healthier and even younger. Pregnancy can make you look your best, enjoy it.
