Car seat safety is of paramount importance to all parents.
I am currently a non-driver, but regularly travel in the cars of friends and family with my children. This usually involves lugging car seats to and from the house and it can get very stressful!
Recently Kiddies Kingdom got in touch and offered me the opportunity to review the Joie Elevate Car Seat (RRP £59.95). In need of a car seat that is both easy to use and lightweight, I jumped at the chance!
The Joie Elevate Car Seat is a forward facing car seat suitable for ages 1-12 years old. With harness, it is suitable for 9kg to 18kg and as a high back booster it is suitable from 15 to 36kg (12 years approx).
The Joie Elevate Car Seat is available in two-tone black and cherry from the Kiddies Kingdom website, both of which are simple yet effective designs. The car seat covers are easy to remove for washing and the car seat also includes a cup holder.
It also boasts side impact protection with provides security for the head, body and hips. In my opinion, this car seat is one of the most comfortable looking car seats we have used.
The Grow Together™ headrest and harness system on this car seat adjusts simultaneously and requires no re-threading of the harness. The headrest can be adjusted using just one hand, very handy when trying to wrestle ferocious toddlers!
Installation is super easy with a colour coded installation path and lock-off device. After a little practice it took me less than a minute to place into a car for Theo to ride in comfort.
In Theo’s opinion, the Joie Elevate Car Seat is ‘super comfy’. I love that it will grow with him for years to come. It also stores away easily when not in use.
The only downside to this car seat is that it is not isofix compatible, many modern car seats are and I can see this putting off prospective buyers. Especially those who own cars that are isofix enabled.
If you’re looking for a car seat which does exactly what it says on the box, then I’d definitely recommend the Joie Elevate car seat. We shall be using it for years to come!
We were very kindly gifted the Joie Elevate Car Seat in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
