Emma Amoscato, a good friend and blogger at Free From Farmhouse, is releasing her first book, Living with Allergies: Practical Tips for All the Family (aff). Living With Allergies is a comprehensive guide to navigating the world of allergies.
Theo has outgrown many of his allergies over the past few years, which is fantastic, but I will never forget how exhausting and emotionally draining the first few years of his life were. As his mother, I lived in constant fear of him having an allergic reaction. Looking back, I would have loved to have had all the information I needed in one place, rather than spending hours trawling the internet looking for answers.
I am immensely proud of Emma Amoscato for creating what will inevitably become a lifeline for allergy sufferers and their carers. I firmly believe that it should be handed to all parents of newly diagnosed children and adults. If I ever have more children, and they suffer from allergies like Theo, I won’t be as scared or as overwhelmed as I was five years ago, and that’s partly because of Emma. Within this book, Emma has taken the fear out of life with allergies. I would have given anything to have this amount of information and reassurance when Theo was diagnosed. I remember feeling completely overwhelmed and out of my depth, this book would have been a lifesaver for me. She offers advice on everything from traveling abroad with allergies to reassurance on sending your child with allergies to school. Emma’s book offers a comforting shoulder of support to those who need it most.
Living With Allergies: Practical Tips For All The Family is full of fantastic information on every aspect of life with allergies. It includes quotes from sufferers and their caregivers (including myself and Theo), up to date research, practical advice, expert insights and interviews with 10 top allergy experts including Dr. Adam Fox – Paediatric allergist and president of British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSCAI). It has also been clinically reviewed and endorsed by Allergy UK https://www.allergyuk.org/.
Emma Amoscato has worked tirelessly to make her first book something that would help thousands, if not millions of people. I think I can safely say it is going to be a resounding success. Well done Emma, you are going to change lives and I couldn’t be prouder.
