To My Darling Girl, On Your Seventh Birthday.

My darling Mia,

Today is your seventh birthday. I can’t believe it’s been seven years since you entered the world. Its true what they say, time flies when you’re having fun. Fun is exactly what we have when we are together.

You light up my whole world with your infectious giggle, and drive me slightly insane with your sass. Over the past year you have transformed from a little girl into a young lady. You are so loved by so many people. Your teachers, your friends, Mummy and Daddy, and most of all, your little brother.

The bond you share with Theo brings tears to my eyes, you are so patient with him and understand his struggles fully. He adores you, even if he does show it by winding you up sometimes, but what are siblings for hey?

You’re an old head on young shoulders, and so very intelligent. Your hand-writing and reading are often commended by your educational peers and I couldn’t be prouder. I always hoped that when I had children, at least one of them would be a bookworm like I was. You’ve followed in my footsteps, I find you lost in literature on a daily basis, you have the most wonderful imagination.

We’ve been through so much together, me and you. You pick me up when I’m feeling down and make me smile every single day, you don’t know you’re doing it, but you do. All it takes is a cheeky Mia grin to fill my heart with joy.

I am so proud of you sweetheart. Happy seventh birthday.

All my love, Mummy x
