I’ll be honest, I’ve got a bit of a love/hate relationship with Bunchems. Our last experience with them ended in Mia having to sit for over an hour having them gently teased out of her hair. I’ve since discovered that a little hair conditioner works wonders for ‘de-buncheming’. Recently we were offered the opportunity to review the Bunchems dragons and unicorns theme pack, aimed at children aged 6+ and available for £12.99 from most good toy stores.
I was unsure as to whether I wanted to deal with a tangled mess of hair again, but the children are a little older now so I decided to go for it. Despite the drama of our last experience, the kids had great fun, what could go wrong?
Thankfully, nothing on this occasion!
I’m a huge fan of promoting learning at home in a variety of ways. We love educational apps such as Hopster but nothing beats hands-on imaginative play. Bunchems are both creative and interactive making them a great activity for Mia and Theo to do together.
The dragon pack contains 160 translucent and normal Bunchems. Also included are 40 glow in the dark Bunchems, 14 accessories and a guide-book. The children loved squashing and connecting each piece together. They then hid in the bathroom with the lights off to watch their creations glow.
The best thing about this pack is that the possibilities are endless. Theo made dragons of all shapes and sizes with a variety of features such as six eyes and a tail for a nose. His imagination knew no bounds.
I’d recommend Bunchems to all parents of school age children – just keep away from hair!
We were very kindly sent a Bunchems Dragon Pack in return for an honest review. All views and opinions are my own.
