5 Things To Do If You Are Struggling Financially.

Struggling financially can feel like a tremendous weight on our shoulders. There is no feeling worse than panicking about how to pay the bills and put food on the table. We’ve all been there at some point in our lives, for some, struggling financially is an everyday occurrence. Today I’m sharing five things you can do if you are struggling financially. Below are suggestions for both short-term and long-term financial relief.

  1. Martin Lewis from Money Saving Expert – Martin Lewis shares top tips and deals as well as money advice on his website. I don’t think there is a financial topic he doesn’t cover! You can also subscribe to his free money-saving email newsletter and have deals and advice delivered straight to your inbox.
  2. Compare insurance quotes, gas and electricity tariffs by using Go Compare – this won’t allow you to access immediate cash, but will save you money in the long run. This site compares hundreds of different deals to find the best price for you. In the last year I have saved money on both insurances and utilities by using Go Compare.
  3. If you have children, then you are sure to have piles of clothes and toys that they are simply too big for now. Sell unused, unwanted or outgrown items on sites such as eBay or local selling pages on Facebook. Your trash is another’s treasure. If you’re preparing for a new arrival, take a look at save money whilst preparing for the birth of your baby where you’ll find some fantastic tips for saving money during pregnancy.
  4. Many try to avoid getting a short-term loan, but sometimes needs must. If you do need to take this route to ease your financial strain, rest assured you are not alone. Check out the Cashlady consumer credit index to discover monthly borrowing trends in your area.
  5. Reevaluate your outgoing bills. These days thousands of people pay monthly for little luxuries such as TV subscriptions, which is lovely, but not necessary. Cutting back is hard, but vital until you have a little more cash available.
