It’s sad but oh so true, cleaning is my guilty pleasure! I love keeping our home clean and tidy. Cleaning eases my anxiety and helps me feel in control of my surroundings. Creating a cleaning routine and sticking to it was the best thing I ever did. Recently I was asked to take part in the VonHaus
14 Day Challenge To A Tidy Home cleaning challenge. The
The tasks involved in the challenge were simple but effective and included everything from dusting to decluttering. On day 1 and day 2, I completed the tasks with ease as these were tasks I try and do as often as possible anyway. It felt good to ease myself into the challenge gently.
Day 3 was an exciting day for me.
It was empty and clean out the fridge and freezer day! I invested in some fridge storage baskets to help me organize our fridge and in less than an hour, my fridge and freezer were sparkling and wonderfully organized. It was a job that had been on the to-do list for a while, so I was pleased to finally tick it off.
I love a new cleaning gadget, so when I received the VonHaus 3-in-1 Window Vacuum I felt like a kid at Christmas. The task for day 6 was to clean the windows inside and out. My VonHaus Window Vacuum made window cleaning easy. In fact, I actually enjoyed cleaning my windows
The VonHaus 3-in-1 Window Vacuum is battery powered, so there is no need for plug sockets, cables or extension leads. It comes with a mains charger which fully charges the battery in less than two hours to provide you with approximately 40 minutes of window cleaning magnificence.
It also comes with an extension pole for those hard to reach corners and high windows. The removable water reservoir is incredibly easy to fill and empty.
There is no need for endless amounts of cloths or buckets.
Simply squeeze the trigger and spray the glass with water before flipping the unit and wiping the spray away with the micro-fibre pad. Once you have removed stubborn dirt with the
The VonHaus 3-in-1 Window Vacuum was designed to streamline the window cleaning process. It’s safe to say that the team behind the window vacuum well and truly succeeded. I love our window vacuum. It is used on everything from our windows to our mirrors and tiles.
I am ever so slightly ashamed to admit this, I have never washed our curtains, and they were left by previous tenants so I have no idea when they last saw soap suds!
Day 7 of the VonHaus cleaning challenge required me to bite the bullet and give our curtains and blinds a thorough clean. The children have a black blackout blind in their bedroom which was easy to clean, but washing the curtains was a big job. We have two sets of curtains in our living room, one curtain in the hallway and a set in my bedroom. My washing machine went into overdrive but it was worth it to see how clean and fresh the curtains were once dry.
The tasks for days 8,9,10,11,12 and 13 are things I tend to do every day or every other day other than changing bedding which I change every week and decluttering wardrobes which I tend to do as often as required. Day 14 was the day that I knew would make our home feel tidier once and for all. It was time for a trip to the tip!
As a child, I used to love going to the tip with my parents.
I don’t know why but I found it all fascinating. Nowadays the thought of
